Hey guys,

I am from the Chicago area and have recently had a consultation with Bosley. The consultant was very nice and seemed to know alot about the procedure. Then I met the doctor and he recomended 1,200 grafts for my hairline. I am thinking to schedule for a procedure next month and wondered what others have thought, or if anyone could share their experience with this clinic. After reading online and in forums like these I am realizing they may not be the best choice. I'm confused. Thanks!

Bosley is a hair mill. You might get a good result, you might not. I would stay away. Don't go to a Doctor just because they are close to you. The result you have will be on your head the rest of your life. It is worth it to travel to find the best doctor.

this is very true they probably do have a few good doctors in the company, but i have seen many many bad transplants coming from them as well. I wouldnt go with a large company for a transplant as you have no idea what to expect. I would research doctors that have good reputations and have good results.

I would encourage you to continue to do your research into hair transplant doctors and their credentials before you make your definite decision.  I consulted with Bosley in New York City while doing my research a few years back and ultimately ended up choosing a different clinic.  This is an extremely important decision you are about to make so making the correct choice is crucial.  The good thing is you are out there on forums like this in an effort to make the most educated decision possible.

Do your homework!!!! Don't jump into a procedure immediately. Research all your options before you make any kind of decision, and then look through all of them again. Only once you feel like you have exhausted every avenue should you make a decision. If this was the first place you looked, and you decided to get a procedure, cancel it!!! Do your homework, give it 6 months to think about it, and then decide.

I think if you go to enough forums youll see 99 percent of whats said about them to be negative.

I'd take your time, do your research into as many Drs as possible before rushing into a procedure.

I spent 2 years researching before deciding to go with alvi armani.

If you are dead set on going with Bosely, atleast check out as many photos of patients of the particular Dr that will do your procedure to get a feel of the quality of work he does.

As others said here, you have to live with the result for a long time so take your time.

As I said in one of the above threads, I made a huge mistake of deciding that the skill of Doctors in the hair transplant industry must be the same & therefore opted with a local UK surgeon... BAD MISTAKE - Lost £2,000 & ended up with a pathetic number of grafts - maybe 100 that survived.

Do NOT let location & cost deter you from going with the best & most respected in the field.

I've seen results from Bosely and they were horrible..and I read many negative feedbacks ontheir clinic.

You should always research the doctor that will be conducting your transplant and see before/after photos of his patients.

I had my FUE tranplant with Dr. Armani in Toronto and I am very happy with the way everything turned out. I highly recommend Dr. Armani for anyone whos wanting a successful transplant and undetectable work.

Good Luck,
